Our Unique Carriages for Hire

Panel Boot Victoria
Based on a popular design of carriage in the late 1800s, this 3/4 size Panel Boot Victoria was custom built in 2015 by Justin Carriage Works. Complete with historically appropriate colors and "bonnet-top" roof, this eye-catching piece seats 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children under 12. This vehicle is perfect for an intimate tour or proposal, and is pulled by single horse.

6 Passenger Wagonette
This special Amish-made wagonette is perfect for wedding parties, large families, historic tours, holiday rides, hay rides, and just about anything else you can think of! It is as classy as a carriage without being too presumptuous. Perfect for a town or country ride! Seats 6 adults, or 10 children.
Miniature Horse Wagon
Our Mini but Mighty wagon can accommodate up to 3 kids at a time, or a full grown adult (or two!). Perfect for parents who want to ride with their very small children, or a timid child as well. Don't worry -- our Mini horse can handle it! Thanks to physics, he can pull up to 6x his own weight on wheels! He weighs about 250 lbs -- so that means he can actually pull up to 1500 lbs! He can only carry about 50 lbs (about 20% of his own body weight).

Antique White Park Phaeton
A newly refurbished and restored Studebaker Park Phaeton, this is a truly unique gem of our collection. The surrey-style top keeps you covered rain or shine, complete with "isenglass curtains that roll right down in case of a change in the weather!" This beautiful and tasteful carriage is perfect for weddings, proposals, proms, renewing of vows, or anything else you can think of. Seats 2 adults comfortably, with a pull out small jump seat suitable for 1-2 children or small adults that don't mind getting cozy

4 Passenger Wagonette
This charming wood paneled wagonette is imported from Poland and boasts a lovely smooth ride. Fancier than a haywagon but still down-to-earth, it's perfect for all your fall-themed events and fairs, or even a rustic wedding! It is also versatile for deliveries and it will certainly draw plenty of attention for your business promotions with signage, all year round. Seats a cozy 4 adults, or 6 children.

Pony and Mini Carts

Our Mini Cart and larger Pony Cart are two-wheeled vehicles, each seating 1 passenger (and dressed up driver), and are PERFECT for a special entrance by the flower girl, or even delivering the bride down the aisle, or any other event where you wish to spotlight one special person, or if you don't want to go "all out" with a full size carriage.
Cart comes decorated with white flowers, or for a small additional fee, we can decorate it with the colors of your choice.
Also great for parades! Ponies can also come as unicorns.

Ponies, Donkeys, and Goats, oh my!

Hire our sweet Event Donkey / "Beverage Burro" !
What could be better than drinks at your next event? Having an adorable donkey deliver them to your guests! Our sweet donkey, Beau, adores people and would love to attend your next event, bearing beverages. Dressed like a traditional Irish donkey used in the bogs to carry turf (a fuel source cut and then dried from the peat bogs in Ireland), carrying "creels" or baskets, Beau will bring you refreshing beverages instead! Hire him in his traditional garb, or for a small additional fee, have us decorate him just as you like! Beau the Beverage Donkey is sure to enchant your guests and make your event truly unforgettable.
Make your event the G.O.A.T. !
Have our hilarious and adorable Nigerian Dwarf and Mini Alpine goats make an appearance at your next event! Your guests are sure to remember their experience by the whimsy, charm, and humor our goats bring to any occasion. Perfect for photos as well to spark happy memories and laughs when looking back through them.

Thinking about kids? Have our goats attend your wedding for photos and fun, and make your special day the greatest of all time!

Did I see a Unicorn?
What we didn't tell you was that all our horses and ponies are secretly Unicorns as well! Have any of our horses or ponies (and even our donkey!) show who they really are by appearing as a unicorn, either with a carriage/cart or without, or have a Unicorn themed party or event on-premises at our Clinton Corners farm!

ART & SIP CLASSES WITH HORSE, GOAT, AND DONKEY FRIENDS AS LIVE MODELS
Learn to draw, paint, and sculpt horses, goats, donkeys, (and unicorns!) while enjoying their real-life company at Celtic Valley's barn and field based art classes. We are happy to offer these rain or shine thanks to the ample space inside our barn. Bring your own beverage to loosen up your mind and hands and relax and enjoy these animal-based learning sessions! All skill levels (or self-proclaimed lack thereof!) are welcomed into this fun and accepting environment. There is no better way to learn animal anatomy, or to capture the spirit of the animal on your paper, canvas, or clay medium than to have them right in front of you.
Materials are included in your class fee.

You must be 21 and over for all art classes involving booze, but kid-centric, and alcohol-free classes will also be held, so watch the calendar for dates. Some dates will include live music!

WHAT WE DO
Celtic Valley Carriage & Farm offers boutique horse-drawn carriage services and curated animal experiences throughout the Hudson Valley, Greater New York City area, and surrounding regions.

Founded by Alanna and Kieran, whose combined experience with horses and carriage driving spans over 50 years, our small operation focuses on creating thoughtful, memorable experiences with beautifully turned-out horses, elegant carriages, and a warm, personal touch.

We are available for weddings, engagements, parades, festivals, business and promotional events, historical and seasonal celebrations, private parties, and select educational or farm-style experiences. In addition to our horse-drawn carriages, we also offer unique appearances with our miniature horse, donkey, and friendly Nigerian Dwarf goats for carefully tailored events.

Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all service, we work closely with each client to create an experience that best suits the occasion, location, and atmosphere envisioned.

Email us with your inquiry, or call or text 917-510-6508, and we would be happy to discuss your event.
Our horses are deeply loved as family
A note from Alanna
Horses have fascinated me for as long as I can remember. Although I did not have the opportunity to own horses growing up, they were always the animal that captured my imagination, and over the years that fascination grew into a career dedicated to their care, training, and well-being.

At Celtic Valley Carriage & Farm, every horse is first and foremost a valued partner. I personally oversee the care of all of our animals, paying close attention to their individual health, comfort, nutrition, conditioning, and happiness. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I notice every little detail. If something seems off, even slightly, I address it immediately. Their welfare is the foundation of everything we do.

Just as importantly, I do not see my animals as a collection of livestock or business assets. Each horse, donkey, goat, and pony is an individual with their own personality, preferences, strengths, quirks, and story. Good horsemanship means learning who each animal is and working with them as an individual rather than expecting every animal to be the same.
Horses thrive on movement, routine, mental engagement, and purposeful work. Carriage driving provides safe, low-impact exercise and allows horse and driver to develop a meaningful partnership built on trust and communication. Properly fitted harnesses and well-balanced carriages allow horses to comfortably perform the kind of steady work they were bred and conditioned to do, easily. That partnership enriches their and our lives while helping me provide the highest standard of care possible for the animals who depend on me.

With decades of combined experience caring for and driving horses, Kieran and I take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of horsemanship. Our animals are not equipment or interchangeable employees. They are beloved members of our family, and every decision we make is guided by their well-being.
